KIM Lighting has launched the new PGL8 edge-lit parking garage luminaire. Nearly three decades ago KIM Lighting introduced the first integrated, direct/indirect luminaire purposely designed for modern parking garage facilities. That legacy of design leadership continues with the new PGL8. The edge-lit drop lens reduces glare to provide exceptional visual comfort and performance. The Features and Benefits of the PGL8 Include: IP66 certified 4,000 to 13,500 lumens 200 to 600 lumens of uplight standard with no additional wattage Four distributions: Type V Square, Type V Concentrated, Type 5 Rectangular and Type 4 Asymmetric Integral battery backup Optional UL924 Listed dimming bypass module Standard 10kA 20kV surge suppression Ceiling or pendant mount Wireless Controls Integration Integral sensors and wireless controls ensure there is no compromise to the PGL8 form factor. Intuitive controls capabilities include NX Distributed Intelligence™, which is capable of scaling from standalone fixture control to networked enterprise deployments. NX Distributed Intelligence creates an intelligent mesh network with the interior controls. Groups are dimmed via an astronomical time clock and schedules can be updated at any time with the Bluetooth commissioning app.
