LightArt proudly introduces the Somari Collection — a sculptural family of pendants that brings timeless lantern light into contemporary spaces. With its blend of artistry, precision craftsmanship, and modern sustainability, Somari reimagines an age-old form for today’s designers.

“In creating the Somari collection, we returned to the very origins of light, drawing inspiration from the timeless glow of candles and lanterns,” said Ryan Smith, Chief Creative Officer at LightArt. “Our vision was to translate that inviting, familiar warmth into beautiful, contemporary shapes through innovative American craftsmanship and technology.”

A Study in Form, Flexibility, and Warmth

Inspired by the iconic mid-century paper lamps of Isamu Noguchi, Somari reinterprets traditional lantern design through the lens of contemporary fabrication and modularity.

The collection features three sculptural shapes—Saucer, Sphere, and Cylinder—each offered in small, medium, and large sizes. These nine pendants can be specified individually for an elegant standalone fixture or combined in stacked vertical or horizontal compositions up to eight feet long, allowing designers to scale installations from subtle accents to statement-making centerpieces.

Each closed pendant features a cylindrical Casper core, ranging from 24 to 96 inches, that evenly illuminates the delicate yet durable outer form. The integrated LED light engine delivers a temperature range of 2,700K–4,000K, and a 90 CRI. 

Design in Color and Emotion

Somari’s palette enhances the ethereal quality of the collection. The seven curated colorways—Shiro, Halo, Sail, Clover, Rosa, Sienna, and Loom—allow designers to explore both subtlety and expression through light and material.

The translucent hues offer opportunities to play with mood and contrast: soft pastels for hospitality, warm neutrals for wellness, or layered tones for immersive brand environments. Whether installed as a single glowing pendant or clustered in a dramatic multi-story display, Somari’s adaptability makes it ideal for any commercial setting where decorative appeal meets performance lighting.
